This handsome Cleaver Hook was handmade in rural PA by Gatski Metal from recycled farm machinery. They are called, "butcher hooks" in tribute to Ben Gatski's great grandfather, Raymond August, the butcher. The tradition and pride in, "butchery" the art of cutting meat is passed along thru the family.
Hang your kitchen tools, market bags or towels on these nice little hooks.
The rusty metal we use for the sign is thick steel from weathered farm machinery. The pattern is hand drawn on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand held plasma cutter. The hooks are made with metal rod that was cut and bent into shape.
Each Cleaver Hook will have very subtle variations. They are cut by hand and each piece of metal has slight color differences.
The metal is sealed so you can hang this charming Hook inside or out. It is easy to hang with either a nail or a screw.
